Still life and interiors

Still life inspires me to focus on color and composition, although occasionally a narrative suggests itself. The "scenes" are set mainly in my studio at home, with natural light when possible and artificial light when that's helpful.. Sometimes nature does all the arranging that's needed -- I've been experimenting with "plein air" still lifes-- plants au naturel, growing from the earth.  I mostly work in oil, but also enjoy in the possibilities that water media offer.
